DISNEY. From villa, turn left off Sandy Ridge Drive, on to Highway 532. Continue to next traffic lights (2 miles), turning right into Lake Wilson Road (545). Follow this road right to the end (5 miles), where it meets US Highway 192. Turn Right. Continue for just 2 miles, where you will see a signpost for all Disney Parks and Attractions. The turn off is World Drive, which is just 9 miles from the Villa, taking around 12-15 minutes (depending on traffic conditions). World Drive leads to: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, and Animal Kingdom. Also the Disney Water parks, Golf courses, and Downtown Disney.
US HIGHWAY 192.
As per directions above, the 192 stretches for a number of miles and has a high concentration of Restaurants, Shops and other attractions.
INTERNATIONAL DRIVE.
International Drive South is also accessible from the 192. International Drive South becomes just International Drive. As per the 192, this road also has a high concentration of Restaurants, Shops and other attractions, most notably Sea World, Discovery Cove, and on to Universal.
FLORIDA MALL
Although both the 192 and International Drive have lots of Shopping facilities, the Florida Mall is by far the biggest.
From villa, turn left off Sandy Ridge Drive, on to Highway 532. Continue for around 3 miles, turning right on to Interstate 4 (I4). Proceed to the next exit (exit 62), picking up Celebration Boulevard. This becomes the Central Florida Greeneway (417), which is subject to Tolls. Continue to exit 11, turning left on to the Orange Blossom Trail (17/92). Continue for about 9 miles. Florida Mall is on the right.
LOCAL FACILITIES
From villa, turn left off Sandy Ridge Drive, on to Highway 532. Continue for around 3.5 miles to Champions Gate. To your left you will find a BP Petrol Station. 300 yards further on, to your right is the 4 Corners commercial centre. Here there is a Pharmacy, ‘drive through’ McDonalds restaurant, Italian Restaurant (and Pizza takeaway / delivery), Chinese takeaway / delivery, UPS office with Internet access. The main part of the centre is the Publix Supermarket. The excellent Champion’s Gate Golf Course is also in this area (and is clearly sign posted from the Commercial centre).
The nearest breakfast restaurant is the first block on the left as you reach the 192 (see 2, above). The Ponderosa serves an ‘all you can eat’ buffet at an amazing $3.99
FURTHER AFIELD
Tampa (Including Busch Gardens), St. Petersburg, Clearwater and other Gulf Coast resorts. Head down towards Champions Gate (as per 5, above), but turn left on to the I4, heading West, and follow signs.
Cocoa Beach andPort Canaveral. Turn right on to I4 (as per 4, above). Continue to exit 72, then follow the Beeline Expressway (528 – subject to toll) and follow signs.
